KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRODUCTION:
-Planning and organizing production schedules.
-Assessing project and resource requirements.
-Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.
-Determining quality control standards & monitor quality standards of product.
-Overseeing production processes.
-Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary.
-Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials.
-Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
-Liaising with buyers and marketing and sales staff.
-Supervising the work of Production Team.
-Organizing relevant training sessions for the team
-Review and adjust the schedule where needed.
-Manage human and material resources to meet production target.
-Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
-Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to.
-Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.

-Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
-Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
-Prepare and maintain production reports.
-Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement
-Estimate production costs.
-Set production budgets.
-Manage production budgets.
-Implement cost control programs.
-Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, –distribution and management.
-Creation of Process Flow Charts and PFEMA’s

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:
-Identify, develop and drive continuous improvement activities and change management initiatives.
-Identification and application of the appropriate methodology (tools) for initiatives identified.
-Work closely with, and support, senior management colleagues to deliver a united front to the rest of the business.
-Deliver objectives as agreed and outlined in the Performance Review process.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
-Lean or Six Sigma qualification preferred.
-Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in manufacturing leadership positions.
-Degree in an engineering or science discipline.
-Technical background in Plastic injection molding and/or high speed assembly machines
-Product/process costing.
-Forecasting – operational.
-World class quality systems.
-ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
-GMP (good manufacturing practices).
-Supply chain best practices.
-Distribution & logistics.
-Six Sigma.
-Lean manufacturing.
-Quality Audits.
-Managing operational relationships with customers
-Project management.
-Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to liaise at all levels of the business.
